I just didn't want to stand in the way as my friend (also his best friend) had told me he started liking someone else.

I want him to at least acknowledge me without having to talk to him, should I sort of smile at him in a friendly way if he passes by me or look at him in a sad way for him to pity me or something?

I finally got to talk to him and he did like me for a littlr, but I pushed him away as it was a bad time for me and he just faded from my life.
